Saturn is the 6th planet from the Sun.
It is the second largest planet.
It has beautiful rings.

Saturn is 1425 million kilometres from the Sun. It takes almost 30 years to orbit (go around) the Sun. But because it spins so quickly a day on Saturn last only a little more than 10 Earth hours.
It is the brightest planet in the solar system.
The planet is a 'gas giant' like Jupiter, Neptune and Uranus.
Its atmosphere is wrapped around a core of iron and rock. The surface of the planet is blasted by super fast winds.
Saturn has 62 known satellites (moons), of which 53 have names. Titan is the largest of the moons.
Saturn has a ring system around it, consisting of nine main rings. The rings are mainly ice particles with some rocks and dust. The rings can be seen from Earth with a telescope.
Saturn was named after the Roman god of agriculture.
