The head of the Reclining Buddha

One of the buildings of the Wat Po compound. This temple is a centre of learning and teaching, often called 'Thailand's first university'.

An 'oasis' in the temple compound
The tall pointed chedis of the Wat Po compound are among the most beautiful in Thailand. Inside each are the ashes of past head monks (abbots) or holy books.
