In
Thailand there is a huge variety of flowers. The arrangement of
the flowers is an art form that can be seen every day.
Flowers are woven or threaded to form necklaces and bracelets or hair ornaments. They are woven to form intricate table decorations or offerings for the temple. They are ornaments used in dances
There are three groups of floral art. One is called roi, which means flowers are threaded to form garlands or leis.
Chat phan, or bowl arrangements are more elaborate. A mound of damp clay or sand, usually in a pyramid shape, is covered in a geometric arrangement of flowers so that it appears almost like a piece of decorative ceramic.
The third group
consists of banana leaves folded into amazing shapes.
