The official languages of Tanzania are Swahili and English

Dar es-Salaam is the country's largest city. The name in Arabic means haven (or a place) of peace. There is a large seaport at Dar es-Salaam. Can you find it on the map?

Mount Kilimanjaro is Africa's highest mountain (5,895 metres) It is in north-eastern Tanzania, near the border with Kenya. Look for information and pictures here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Kilimanjaro

The Serengeti National Park is Tanzania's popular national park. It in the north of the country, and is one of the last places in Africa where large animal migrations still occur. Go here for information about the park http://www.serengeti.org/
