and an old woman. One day the old man planted a turnip seed. The
sun shone and the rain fell. Under the ground the seed began to
grow. It grew and grew.
The turnip got bigger and bigger. It became huge. It was an enormous
turnip!
The old man went to pull up the ____________ . He pulled and pulled, but he could not ________ it out. He called to the old woman to come and ________. Together they pulled and pulled, but the turnip would _______ budge.
