Kowari
A kowari is a small marsupial mouse. They are carnivorous (meat-eating) and live in dry grasslands and deserts in Australia.

The kowari's diet is mainly insects and spiders, but they also eat small lizards, birds and rodents. They hunt in the grass tussocks.

They live in burrows under the ground, sometimes alone but sometimes in small groups.

Other names for them are Brush-tailed Marsupial Rat, Kawiri.
