| Made in Italia! | Name: |
Your Task
You have
been employed to set up a big exhibition called 'Made in Italia'.
The exhibition is to showcase the very best Italian products and
design. As a first stage, you are expected to present a plan to
the organising committee. You will find out about some important
Italian products or designers and plan the exhibition. Start by
making a list of Italian products, or Italian things that have
become part of our lives, such as capuccino or gelato. This website
may help you: http://www.made-in-italy.com/
Resources
Once you
have a list (which you can keep adding to as you think of things
or find more), start to find out about some of the things on the
list. Here are some websites that may help you:

You may also find other websites, or use books or videos.
The Process
Write
some questions that your research will answer. For example: Where
in Italy is this made? What are some developments in the history
of this product? Why is this product famous and desired? What
are some reasons that should it be in my exhibition? Write your
questions on a data
chart,
and make notes and sketches when you find some information that
answers each question. When you have enough, start writing your
talk, making up your own sentences to use the information you
have collected. Arrange the sentences in a satisfactory order.
Don't forget to check your spelling.
Presentation
Choices
You will
give a talk to the class, as though they are a committee from
the Italian government and the exhibition organisers. You will
talk about the features of the exhibition and items that will
be on display. Show a map and drawings of the actual exhibition.
Evaluation
After
your presentation, think about how you went in this project. Use
an assessment
sheet
and rate how you think you did, then discuss it with your teacher.
