Geothermal energy: a kidcyber weblink page

Geothermal comes from two Greek words, geo meaning earth and therme meaning heat.
So geothermal energy is heat that comes from inside the Earth. It is the force that causes volcanoes to erupt.

The heat energy combines with water to produce steam and hot water which we can use as geothermal power to heat buildings and to generate electricity.

People in many places around the world bathe in hot springs.

Geothermal energy is renewable because it is always being produced inside the Earth

Geothermal energy is clean energy. It doesn't pollute.
