In 1992 the United Nations made December 3 the International Day of People with a Disability.
This day each year is a worldwide day of celebration, providing an opportunity to increase awareness of issues affecting people who suffer from a disability.
It is a day to
celebrate people's achievements.
It is a day to focus on ABILITY, rather than Disability.
