Step 1
Form a group of 8.
Each person in the group will find out about a different kind of bear. So each person chooses a bear from this list:

Find out:
1. What your bear looks like
2. Where it lives
3. Something about its habits
4. What it eats
5. Something about its cubs

Step 3
You will need a data chart to write down what you find out. Your teacher will give you one or you can print some here.

Now you are an expert about one kind of bear.
On a piece of paper write some sentences about your bear. Draw some pictures.

Step 5
When everyone in your group has finished, each person will tell the group about their bear.

Step 6
Now everyone is an expert about 8 different kinds of bears! Put everyone's pages together to make a book about the different kinds of bears. Together, make up a title for your book and make a cover for it.
