The birds are grey-brown with white streaks.

They have yellow bellies.

A wattle is a long strip of skin that hangs down from each ear.

The yellow wattlebird has yellow wattles.

It lives only in Tasmania, which is one of the states of Australia.

It lives in forests, but also visits gardens.

The yellow wattlebird eats mainly nectar from flowers, but it also eats insects.

It makes a big nest out of twigs, bark and leaves.

It puts feathers inside the nest.
