Q is for Quokka

A quokka is a kind of small wallaby.

A wallaby is like a kangaroo.

Quokkas eat plants.

They do not drink very much water.

They eat at night.

A quokka has a very small tail.

A quokka has small feet.

They make paths through the thick bush where they live.

When a baby is born, it moves into a pouch on its mother's front.

It stays in the pouch until it is big enough to hop around outside.

A pouch is like a pocket of skin.

Quokkas mainly live on Rottnest Island.

Rottnest Island is near Perth,Western Australia.
