G is for Giraffe

Giraffes are the tallest animals of all.

They live in the wild in Africa.

The bumps on the giraffe's head are horns.

Some giraffes have five horns.

Giraffes eat only plants.

They have long necks so they can eat the leaves at the top of trees.

They have long tongues to help them pick leaves to eat.

A giraffe family is called a bull, a cow and a calf.

A calf is 2 metres tall when it is born.

It can run fast soon after it is born.

It drinks milk from its mother's body.
