E is for Elephant

One kind of elephant lives in Africa.

Another kind lives in Asia in places like India and Thailand.

 Elephants are the biggest animals living on the land.

They have big ears that help them keep cool.

Some elephants have big teeth called tusks.

Elephants have long noses called trunks.

They use their trunks to suck up water, to pick up food and to pat each other.

They eat only plants.

Elephants drink lots of water each day.

A baby elephant is called a calf.

The calf drinks its mother's milk.
