About 43 million people live
in South Africa and they speak 11 different languages including
Afrikaans, English, Ndebele, Pedi, Sotho, Swazi,Tsonga,Tswana,
Venda, Xhosa and Zulu. The head of state is the President. The weather in South Africa is mostly sunny with
cool nights. Summer can very hot but it is cooler in the mountains.
Winters are mild but there is sometimes snow in higher places. This became the first flag of a united South Africa in April 1994, at the time the country held its first democratic elections and Nelson Mandela became President. The green 'Y' can be seen as the coming together of the different races of people in South Africa, joining together to take the road ahead together. South African
farmers grow corn, wheat,
sugarcane, fruits, vegetables, beef, poultry, mutton, wool, and
