Your Task
You are a television journalist, a reporter for a programme called 'Wild Places'.
You are writing the script for a detailed segment about the Sahara Desert, the largest desert in the world.
You will include information for the viewers such as: How was it formed? Who and what live there? How do they survive?

You may also find other websites and use other resources such as books, videos, atlas.

The Process
Write down some research questions (some clues are in the description of your task), and make each a heading on a data chart. Under each heading, make notes. When you have done that, make your notes into sentences and paragraphs. Put all your paragraphs in the order you think is logical and works for your presentation.

Presentation Choices
Your presentation will be a script that the 'voiceover' will read as the pictures cross the screen. You may read your script aloud to the class, treating them as though they are members of the programme production team so that they can ask questions or make comments. You will also need a printed copy of the script. You can add pictures to this, as a guide to the camera crew as to what you think they should try to film on location in the Sahara. Include maps.

Evaluation
After your presentation, you will assess your project and presentation. Fill in the evaluation form, print it off, and discuss it with your teacher.
