E is for Elephant
The biggest kind of elephant lives in Africa.
Another kind lives in places like India and Thailand.
Elephants are the biggest animals living on the land.
Some elephants have big teeth called tusks.
Elephants have big ears that help them keep cool.
They live in big groups called herds.

Elephants have long noses called trunks.
They use their trunks to suck up water, to pick up food and to pat each other.
They eat only plants.
They eat lots of plants each day.
Elephants drink lots of water each day.
A baby elephant is called a calf.
Its father is called a bull and its mother is called a cow.
A calf drinks its mother's milk.
